The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging the informed and active participation of citizens in government. It influences public policy through education and advocacy.

  •  New York State Assembly & Senate has passed Automatic Voter Registration. The bill has to be signed by the Govenor but will not  take effect until 2023.

The Syracue Metro League's newsletter is the "Local Voter".  It is published about 9 times a year.

The League seeks to promote peace in an interdependent world, working cooperatively with other nations and international bodies. We have Positions concerning trade, developing countries, arms control, military policy and the United Nations.
